COBRA is the module for tracking COBRA enrollees and processing their payments.
List of Functional Requirements for COBRA module:
- 1. Accounts receivable mechanism (COBRA Payment Tracks) to track COBRA premium payments.
- 2. Determine person’s eligibility for purchasing a COBRA package based on the last eligibility status for Health Benefits
- 3. Cobra module interacts with the eligibility module to extend eligibility as payments are received.
- 4. Process COBRA payments from enrollees
- 5. Generate form letters, including letters informing individuals of their options under COBRA and processing of payments
- 6. Provide an audit trail for all changes within the Cobra module. Provides audit history of COBRA transactions.
- 7. Produce COBRA delinquency report
- 8. Keep track of Cobra enrollees who are approaching retirement age periods
- 9. Produce Daily Payments report
- 10. Automatic generation of COBRA Events (e.g., Separated Employee, Death of Member, Reduction of Hours, etc)
- 11. Keep and maintain COBRA rates
- 12. Conversion of COBRA enrollees and their payments from NCS
